History:
<sub>this is extra info, that he usually doesn't talk about to people, scroll down for the main 'Why he is on the Island part

((Jason had been found by a human farmer in a puddle of blood between carrot and lettuce at an age of approximately 4. His tiny wings broken and his skull cracked open, as if he had literally fallen out of the sky.
He was rushed into a hospital where his head was tended to, however probably because of his unusual species, the fixation of his wings was misapplied resulting in his left wing healing improperly and growing almost stiff.
It was later discovered that the boy suffered from amnesia and could neither remember his name, parents, how he ended up in the field or anything from before waking up in the hospital. He was thus named John Doe and given into the farmer's care who had agreed to raise him together with his wife.

That is until he hit puberty and his horns started to grow, much to the shock of his foster parents who had been troubled by the fluffy ears/tail-wings-webbed toes combination already.
They handed him over to an orphanage where he ultimately learned that he was somewhat different from the other children. He didn't fit in with the mammals, neither with the avians. So they were afraid of him or bullied him for being different... and fat, since he really started to like eating whenever he felt lonely or sad...
But it was around that time as well that he began to study his species anatomy and features more thoroughly to understand what distinguished him from the others.
Since he was the only specimen known to him, naturally that meant a lot of self-experiments...
For example, unlike other boys his age, he could shove a whole cucumber down his throat without gagging.

However, facts that he had no reference group for seemed less interesting, so he saved up his pocketmoney to buy a male prostitute to conduct aforementioned experiments on... The situation was embarrassing and confusing at first, but when things had been explained to the Madam, he was asked whether he himself wanted to earn some extra money and conduct experiments perhaps in a more secure environment.
Since he had figured that studying people's anatomy was much easier with an actual allowance he had already considered becoming a physician and this 'job' would provide him with the money to fund his medicine studies.
So he accepted, becoming the least booked escort for the average customer but the most favoured one for the customers with extraordinary taste. Briefly speaking, he had a great deal of opportunities to conduct experiments, study the most diverse kinds of anatomy and learn to deal with a vast number of fetishes, fantasies and whatever floats your boat...

With that knowledge, the required money and a sharp mind he managed to finish his studies brilliantly and at ease... even though his fellow students pointed out his weight should forbid him to tell anyone else anything about their health.

While practising as a physician was in itself rather satisfying once he realised that he had a fondness of making people feel better that actually showed at least a basic kind of respect for him, he did feel misplaced and alien among the 'normal' races. Especially since he never had been able to actually find another of his kind.
Which is why, when someone slipped him a note about this place, he decided to apply for a position on this very peculiar Island as an attempt to perhaps come in contact with at least some mythological creature...
And of course because he knows what kind of medical personnel is needed in a place like this...
